About

Colley Hatchett

I am Colley Hatchett; originally a native of Birmingham, Alabama.  I now call Auburn my home. I have been married to my husband, Gilder for 19 years and we have two children-Mallie Tate (15) and Davis (12).

Soon after completing our undergraduate degrees at Auburn University, Gilder and I moved to Atlanta GA where he pursued a career in the construction industry and I attended Graduate School at Richmont University. After starting our careers and family in Atlanta, in 2019 we made the decision to move back to Auburn.  I now enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing tennis, volunteering in local ministries and meeting with young women.

WELCOME

I am so glad you are here.  I am a Christian counselor located in Auburn, Alabama. I would consider it a privilege  to provide a supportive, and safe environment for you to address the fears, challenges, or issues that could be holding you back from a life of freedom, joy, and satisfying relationships. It would be an honor for me to hear your story and walk beside you in your journey towards acceptance, healing, and restoration.

"Look at the birds of the air,  for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns: yet your heavenly Father feeds them.  Are you not of more value than they?"

Matthew 6:26

I have personally experienced God do an inner work of healing in my own life  with the help of many counselors and mentors.  I have seen that information alone cannot change us, but an encounter with the Holy Spirit as our Counselor can change us in profound ways.

I have been witness to the benefits of counseling through my time as a student at Richmont Graduate University,  as well as time as a clinician at Wellspring Living and Peachford Mental Hospital. There is no greater joy for me than helping someone move toward personal healing and growth with Jesus.

I believe that God is the author of all health - spiritual, mental and physical. I believe in community and the power of walking alongside one another as we grow. I believe counseling can play a vital role in many capacities in the lives of young women-whether it be choosing the "next move" for your life or relationships, or addressing a past hurt that is affecting your daily life.

I believe when we invite God in, He can begin to heal all of the broken parts and give us the wisdom and discernment we all desire.

I am reminded of a favorite verse in scripture: Isaiah 61-1-3

"To bind up the broken hearted,

to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness...

to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor....

to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve....

to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.

I enjoy supporting young women through a variety of issues-from things like discovering God's unique design for you and your life, to Enneagram information; to issues with anxiety, grief, boundaries and depression.  Together we will use the power of scripture and prayer to pursue clarity and/or healing during a season of support for you.
